Indians know this sweet item very well. It is made from sugar and jaggery. You can also call it a sugar candy. Today morning I bought 50 gms batasha and dropped four pieces in a glass of water and mixed it with a spoon until it dissolved. Then I consumed the whole glass of sweet water. It is said that intake of batasha is good for stomach. It corrects digestive system. My stomach is upset last two days. That's why I took two glass of water by adding batasha in it. It soothe your stomach.

In summer season, visitors are also offered batasha and water in India. It makes your body cool. Until you take it, you can’t feel its benefits. Not only that, batasha is also used for ritual purposes. It is used in all types of worships in India. Intake of batasha can provide you several health benefits apart from correcting digestive system because it contains jaggery which is beneficial in healing several health issues.

Batasha added in a glass of water
First time, I came know the benefits of eating jaggery. I would like to tell you that I often eat jaggery with bread in dinner. It is delicious. However, one can eat batasha to get the same benefits because it is made from jaggery. India holds several festivals in a year though, Navratri and Diwali are popular among them. And batasha is included in each and every festival for worship.

Though I never found any disadvantages of eating batasha or jaggery, you must consult an expert if you are going to use it for healing any disease. Normally, you can take it as you take other foods. But there may be restriction for diabetics. Therefore, I would like to advise diabetics to consult an expert before taking batasha or jaggery.
