Celebrating Durga Puja during pandemic

Friends, we wait for this day very eagerly. I had never thought that government would allow people to celebrate Durga festival this year. You know the reason is corona pandemic which has already killed several people all over the world. Many countries have been engaged in preparing vaccine to fight corona infection and I hope it will be available by the next year or within few months.

Despite having corona virus, we celebrated Durga Puja following all the rules of social distancing. If you want to celebrate this festival, you must visit Kolkata, the city of West Bengal, India. The whole city is decorated with light during this festival. One day is not enough to visit all puja pandals. People go out for 4 to 5 days continuously to visit durga idols and pandals.

I had planned not to visit any puja pandal this year because of pandemic but later I changed my mind and went to visit a pandal which gains popularity every year. I have shared eighteen photographs here but few of them are hazy because we were not allowed to stay there. I took most of the photographs in moving condition. That's why the first photograph of Durga idol became hazy. Rest of the photographs are here:

This was a park beside the puja pandal where fast foods, ice cream and drinks were available to buy. Visitors were buying and eating fast foods and drinks, We ate pop-corn and ice cream.
