China space agency has no control over Tiangong-1 space agency and so it is gradually falling to earth. Scientists expect that it may hit the earth in March, 2018. However it is very difficult to predict the time and location where the debris of craft will touch the earth’s surface.

In 2016, the communication link between Chinese space agency and Tiangong-1 was lost and the craft started dropping to earth. A number of Chinese astronauts were aboard Tiangong-1 but the mission got finished in 2016 as Chinese space agency couldn’t reestablish communication with Tiangong-1 space station after it was broken out.

However it is very tough to predict where and when the debris of space station will strike our planet earth, scientists are giving their best to know the exact time and location where it might slam into the earth. Their hard effort revealed that it might strike the area which locates between 43 degrees north and 43 degrees south. Though most section of that area contains sea water, the chances of hitting the inhabited area is also possible. Striking the populated area may lead to enormous loss of lives and infrastructures.

The weight of Tiangong-1 is 18,740 pounds. However it is expected that much of the debris of space station will be destroyed while reentering the atmosphere of Earth, it is also being predicted that thousands of pounds of wreckage will continue to exist and fall to the earth.

The most dangerous thing in craft is rocket fuel which contains a highly risky and toxic chemical called hydrazine. This chemical might safely reach earth and may have dangerous impact on human and animals if it falls on them.
