I have never visited Tokyo city, which is the capital of Japan. I just watch an online video and found it is a beautiful city to visit. When you will watch the video, you will surely feel that you are walking in Tokyo, Japan. Being a most crowded city, it contains 23 central city wards and several towns and villages which are located in west section of the city center. There are two Islands called the Izu and Ogasawara.
Before the period of 1868, the name of Tokyo was Edo. It was a small city containing several forts in the period of 16th century. In 1603, Edo was chosen as the political center of Japan when feudal government was made by Tokugawa leyasu there. After a few decades, the population of Edo had increased immensely and become the crowded city in the world. Kyoto was the previous capital of Japan. In 1868, when the Meiji Restoration process was going on, Edo became the capital of Japan and the king left Kyoto for Edo which was later called Tokyo. There were two major occurrences that devastated the largest areas of Tokyo. Those occurrences are the Great Kanto Earthquake happened in 1923 and 1945 air raids.
In present day, Tokyo is providing several things that can attract the attention of visitors from the every corner of the world. Visitors can buy various things from the market of Tokyo. The city also offers entertainment facilities for the travelers. You can also visit museum, historical temples and fascinating green spaces including its garden. You can also have a short ride on its train.
