I often see advertisement of certain medicines that claim to help regrow your hair. These advertisements are given through different media. It may be television or websites or newspaper. They claim 100 percent hair regrowth. But the question is that if these medicines are really working, then why people are going for hair transplant? I think medicine treatment is better than surgery which may be painful and expensive. In some cases, it may cause scarring and infection.

Most of the medicines are used for hair loss treatments, not for hair regrowth. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved only two medicines that can stop hair loss. These are minoxidil (Rogaine) and finasteride (Propecia). But the effect of both medicines is temporary. These medicines work as long as they are taken. You can read this article.

In my opinion, there are no medicines that can claim to grow hair again. If someone claims that hair regrowth is possible, they must show the result such a way that people can believe the treatment, not like showing advertisement on TV. It can’t win people’s faith.

In my opinion most advertisements are fake, however, I have never used them. They can’t provide you permanent solution. If you want to use those medicines, you must verify them before or consult an expert.
