Kolkata city before lockdown

This is Kolkata city located on the banks of Hooghly river and the capital of West Bengal, a state of India. It was also the capital of India from 1773–1911. You can see how Kolkata streets are busy. The current population of Kolkata city is around 14.8 million (1.48 crores).

I took these images before the lockdown started. The first picture was taken at Rabindra Sadan and the second and third images were taken at Esplanade. Both places are very busy. There are several garment shops, malls, hotels and offices. The movement of people and vehicles start in the early morning and continue till 11 pm. And some vehicles run whole night to serve passengers. I am showing you the moment just before lockdown. I can't show you the current view of these streets because I live very far from it.
