I haven’t yet visited OSLO city. I picked up this traveling story from wandering.tv posted by traveler. He/she spent 10 years in OSLO city to complete his/her study. He/she came there from a small city. At the age of 17, it was hectic pressure for traveler to live in a new place in OSLO city. However, the city life was exciting and challenging for him/her. Traveler named the city as wonderful melting pot.

The beauty of OSLO city is unavoidable as it has gracious architectures built with old and new designs. In some architecture you will see the designs that belong to 1960s. Moreover, apart from these things, the city has several things to explore such as great museums, several outdoor activities, and fancy nightlife.

When you should visit OSLO city

Travelers should visit OSLO city in the month of August during the famous music festival known as Øyafestival.

Some interesting places in OSLO city

Bygdoy sjobad

Though you find several residential homes in Bygdoy, you can also get entertaining things there such as a beach volleyball court, a beach restaurant at Huk, museums, trails for cycling and walking. 

Explore the parks

You can visit the popular park, Vigelandsparken and a newly opened Ekebergpark in OSLO city.

Along the Harbour Line

If you start moving from the Opera towards Tjuvholmen, you will see a new fort built with modern design. 

Flea-Markets (a market for second hand goods)

Flea-markets are set up around the city. You can visit the market every Sunday. A little park called Birkelunden in Bogstadveien is popular for a great scoop. You can visit the place. 

Holmenkollen

Holmenkollen is the hill located in the north western Oslo city and famous for “The Ski Jump”. 

Boroughs

There are several places to visit in Boroughs such as Grunerløkka, Sagene – Torshov, Bislett, Grønland – Tøyen and St hans haugen.

Walk-in closet

The city has wonderful shop that not only offers new clothes, but also 2nd and 3rd hand.

How to travel around the city

You can travel around the city by foot or rent a bike. These are the cheapest way to travel around OSLO.

Where to stay

There is modern hotel in the city centre which offers hospitality service in reasonable price.
