This is the statue of Rabindranath Tagore who was born on 7 May 1861 in a Bengali family and died on 7 August 1941. He was known as a poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter. In 1913, Rabindranath Tagore won the nobel Prize in literature. He was the first non-European who got this prize.
He composed several songs. Jana, Gana, Mana is one of them which is very popular and National Anthem of India.
The following sculpture of Rabindranath Tagore is made at the center of the three turns. The roads come from three different sides and meet at where this statue is made.
