Would you like to participate in the million dollar bitcoin auction announced by the US Marshals Service? If yes, then register with the USMS. But you need to provide a copy of a government photo ID, a copy of the EFT transmittal receipt and a bank account in a bank located within the United States jurisdiction. Moreover, you need to sign a bidder registration form to complete the bid process.
You must have these documents to register as bidder, otherwise you can’t take part in the million dollar auction. Registration will start on 22nd October and continue till 31st October, but whether you are eligible to participate in this auction or not will be declared on 1st November. Then you can take part in the 4 million dollar bitcoin auction (Around 660 BTC recovered during several legal proceedings) which is scheduled to be held on 5th November.
I don’t know whether the bitcoin auction will influence bitcoin price, because auction price often goes beyond the current price of a product, in my opinion.
An excerpt from the announcement reads:
“The prevailing bids will be determined by the following criteria: The eligible bidder who offers the highest price will be the prevailing bidder; If there are multiple bids at the highest price, the first bid received will prevail; and If a winning bidder defaults, the next highest bidder will be declared the winning bidder.”
